What’s in an Italy Car Check Report?

Mileage History
This shows the odometer readings over time and if the car’s mileage was changed to make it look newer than it really is. Some sellers roll back the odometer to trick buyers into paying more. Accurate mileage helps you know the true condition and value of the car.
Title Brands
This section tells you if the car was ever declared a total loss by an insurance company in the U.S. These cars usually have salvage or rebuilt titles and may have been badly damaged. Knowing the title brand helps you avoid risky cars that could be unsafe or hard to sell.
Theft Record
It checks if the car was reported stolen in the U.S. Buying a stolen car can lead to serious legal problems and you could lose both the car and your money. This check gives you peace of mind before buying.
Flood Damage Records
This shows if the car was ever damaged in a flood, such as from a storm or hurricane. Flooded cars can look fine but often have hidden engine or electrical issues. This helps you avoid buying a car that might stop working later.
Accident Records
This part shows if the car was in any crashes while it was in the U.S. It tells you how bad the damage was and which parts were affected. Knowing this helps you avoid cars that may have hidden problems from poor repairs.
Auction and Sales History
You can see if the car was ever sold at an auction in the U.S. The report can include up to 10 photos showing the car’s condition before shipping. This helps you know if the car had damage or issues that the seller didn’t mention.

Benefits of a VIN Number Lookup in Italy
Buying a used car imported from the US can be risky. With 1 in 3 US-imported cars in Italy having major hidden issues, an Italy car check gives you many benefits:
Verify Accident History
You will find out if the car was ever in an accident. The report shows when the crash happened, how bad it was, and what parts were damaged. Some accidents can leave hidden problems that aren’t easy to spot. This helps you avoid buying a car that might be unsafe or need expensive repairs later.
Avoid Buying Stolen Cars
The report tells you if the car was ever reported stolen in the U.S. If you buy a stolen car, the police can take it back and you may not get your money back. Even if you didn’t know it was stolen, you could still face legal trouble. This check keeps you safe and protects your money.
Spot Odometer Fraud
An Italy car check shows if the car’s mileage has been changed or rolled back. Some sellers lower the mileage to make the car look newer than it really is. A car with false mileage could have a lot more wear and tear than you expect. This helps you avoid overpaying for a car that isn’t in good shape.
Discover Hidden Damage
You’ll find out if the car has had major damage from things like floods, fires, or hail. Some damage may not be visible but can cause serious problems over time. For example, flood damage can ruin the car’s engine or electronics. This check helps you stay away from cars that may cost a lot to fix later.
See Sales and Auctions
A VIN check in Italy shows if the car was ever sold at auction and when and where it happened. You can also view photos taken at the auction, showing the car’s condition at the time. This helps you see if the car had damage, missing parts, or didn’t look like it does now. It gives you a better picture of what you’re really buying.
Make Safe Buying Decisions

I had tried several other websites claiming to be able to provide the info I wanted and none of them succeeded. Richard was courteous and patient and walked me through the process from beginning to end. Good job Richard. Thank you.

I am buying a Land Rover, but I don’t have the vehicle history report. I got the car’s VIN and tried to get a vehicle history report, but I was not able to get it from other VIN detector websites. I tried the VIN on DVH for the report, and they have one for the Land Rover. Thus, I got my hands on the report. Thank you

I had a strange request… Desperately trying to find info on a 1964 Cadillac I was buying. Kicker comes with no title and only had a 9-digit number stamped on the frame. NO OTHER sites I went to could recognize anything less than 17 digits. However, DVH was able to pull the info needed to verify the vehicle existed, had been registered and wasn’t reported stolen. Which is going to be huge in helping me get a title for it in NC. For some reason, vehicles in NY pre-1973 have NO TITLE. Just a registration slip. Super sketchy, right?! Richard handled my request within minutes via the chat in the customer support portal and put my mind at ease. Solid support. I’d recommend these guys 100% for anything you’re looking up. Cause if they can handle this strange scenario, they can handle anything.
