What is a Ural VIN Decoder?

The Ural VIN Decoder is a tool you can use to check the Vehicle Identification Number and get a vehicle history report. The service is intended to help used motorcycle buyers ensure that they are getting the used motorcycle in good condition by seeing the real condition of the bike.

Once you’ve successfully decoded the VIN, you can see the actual information of the bike, like the real odometer reading, accident check, auction history, past ownership records, theft records, and damage history.

What Information Does The Ural VIN Decoder Provide?

Our Ural VIN Decoder has two different services: free and paid VIN checks. The free VIN check helps you to decide whether the Ural motorcycle meets your standards and expectations.

Why Do You Need a Ural VIN Check?

Before you make that purchase or hit the road with Ural, wouldn’t you want to avoid surprises? Below are the reasons why a VIN check build sheet is essential:

Theft and Salvage Records: Over 90,000 motorcycles were stolen in the US in 2022 alone (FBI). Find any theft reports and salvage titles on the vehicle history report by VIN.

Used Vehicle Scams: The FBI estimates that used vehicle scams cost consumers $8 billion annually. Detects odometer rollbacks, title washing, and other fraudulent activities, ensuring you get a fair deal and a legitimate bike.

Ownership and Title Verification: 1 in 10 used vehicles has a title discrepancy (Carfax). Verify the motorcycle’s ownership history and title status, guaranteeing a legal and rightful purchase.

Recall Information: Over 15 million vehicles were recalled in the US in 2022 (NHTSA). Identify any outstanding recalls specific to your Ural model, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Accident History: Nearly 3 million motorcycle accidents occur annually in the US (NHTSA). Run a VIN check to help you see if the bike was involved in an accident.

Where to Find the VIN on a Ural Motorcycle?

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on a Ural is usually stamped into the metal on the right side of the frame, near the lower front down tube. Because of its placement, it may be partly hidden by cables or dirt, so a close inspection is often needed.

  • Stand on the right side of the motorcycle: Position yourself where you can clearly see the frame.
  • Check the lower front down tube: This is the section of the frame that runs down from the front of the bike.
  • Metal Frame: You’ll see a 17-character sequence of numbers and letters pressed directly into the metal frame.
  • Vehicle’s Paperwork: Check on the vehicle’s paperwork, like the registration and insurance paperwork.
