Where is my Ural VIN number located?
Early Ural models
were assigned a 6-digit serial number during production. These numbers were stamped in at least three different areas on the bike:
- On a silver data plate that was riveted to the steering head.
- On the right downtube below the steering head.
- On the left side of the lower frame.
However, for US and other country imports, a 17-digit serial number was required. Often, the importer would create this number and print it on a silver sticker, which was then placed over the original 6-digit serial number on the right downtube.
