Recall Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) Is Recalling Certain Model Year 2014 Ford F-150 And Flex Vehicles Manufactured March 1, 2014, To May 31, 2014. The Affected Vehicles Were Manufactured With A Reduced Clearance Between The Seat Frame And The Seat Track Assembly. Thus, These Vehicles Fail To Comply With Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (Fmvss) No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Recall Consequences
Improper Suppression Of The Passenger Airbag Increases The Risk Of An Injury To The Seat Occupant In The Event Of A Crash Necessitating Deployment Of The Front Passenger Airbag.

Frequently Asked Questions about Ford
How are VIN numbers stamped?
VIN numbers are typically stamped onto a metal plate, which is then attached to the vehicle. The stamping process involves using a series of dies to imprint the alphanumeric characters onto the plate. This plate is often affixed to the dashboard near the windshield, on the driver’s side door frame, or in the engine compartment. The stamping is done in a way that ensures durability and longevity, making the VIN easily readable throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.
How do you read a VIN number year?
The 10th digit of the VIN represents the vehicle’s model year. You can identify the model year of any vehicle using our free VIN decoder. If you have a VIN number year chart, you can also identify the model year of any vehicle by cross-checking the 10th digit with the chart.
Does the VIN number tell the manufacture date?
